The Professional Bartending course will be taught in a completely operational bar on campus.
The bar is arranged as if you were training on the job, using blenders, sinks, glassware, speed racks, ice bins, tools, equipment, and bottles.

Equipment and Bar Set Up - Students will learn how to arrange the bar and workstation. They will also
learn how to utilize all the tools used in bartending.
Liquors/Alcohol - In this section of the bartending training, students learn about the various types of
liquor they use.
Mixology - This part of the bartending course instructs students in the principles of mixology.
This is the fine art of drink mixing. Students gain knowledge of basic and fancy cocktails.
Garnishes and Fruit Cutting - Students will be trained how to slice fruit and decorate tropical and
Wines -Students obtain an understanding of wine service, tasting, and the distinction between wines.
Beer - Students are taught about the different types of beer from around the world in addition to proper
pouring, storage, and keg assembly for draft beer.
Customer Service-Students learn how to give efficient well-mannered service.
Knowing how to provide superior service greatly improves chances of being hired in any field of hospitality.
Alcohol Awareness - Students learn the hazards and effects of alcohol abuse.
