Small Powerboat, RIB Master & VHF

This course will allow you to drive a vessel that is up to 15m (45ft) long. You will also get your VHF radio license - which will teach you how to effectively understand marine communications.

The VHF radio license will allow students to learn how on-board radios and handheld radios, EPIRBs, SARTs, AIS and DSC-enabled radios, are used effectively in marine communications. This license is for both professional and recreational boating.

This course is 3 days long, including one day of practical sea time. The outline of the Small Power Boat course is below.

➜ Small powerboats and rigid inflatable boats
➜ Launching and recovery
➜ Anchors and anchoring
➜ Nautical terminology
➜ Boat handling under power
➜ Man-overboard procedures
➜ Ropes and rope-work
➜ Basic rules of the road (collision regulations)
➜ Glossary of terms.

The license is international recognized and is valid for 5 years.
